Waiting on Wednesday #5 - The Winner's Crime by Marie Rutkoski

"Waiting On Wednesday" is a weekly meme hosted by Breaking The Spine
This is where we get to 'spotlight' books that we are anxiously waiting to be released!!!
The ones that we are dying to get our hands on and read into the wee hours of the night!!! And, quite possibly, to make our shelves look pretty too :)
What I'm currently waiting for...

Title: The Winner's Crime by Marie Rutkoski
Series: The Winner's Curse, book 2
Release date: March 3rd, 2015
Publisher: Farrar Straus Giroux
Goodreads synopsis:
Book two of the dazzling Winner's Trilogy is a fight to the death as Kestrel risks betrayal of country for love.
The engagement of Lady Kestrel to Valoria’s crown prince means one celebration after another. But to Kestrel it means living in a cage of her own making. As the wedding approaches, she aches to tell Arin the truth about her engagement…if she could only trust him. Yet can she even trust herself? For—unknown to Arin—Kestrel is becoming a skilled practitioner of deceit: an anonymous spy passing information to Herran, and close to uncovering a shocking secret.
As Arin enlists dangerous allies in the struggle to keep his country’s freedom, he can’t fight the suspicion that Kestrel knows more than she shows. In the end, it might not be a dagger in the dark that cuts him open, but the truth. And when that happens, Kestrel and Arin learn just how much their crimes will cost them.

Why I'm excited: Simply put, I adored The Winner's Curse. It was one of my favourite books of 2014 and I can say that it probably will become one of my new favourite series. The ending of book 1 had me wanting so much more and I've heard a lot of reviewers say that TWC2 does exactly this (people are even comparing it to Crown of Midnight which is most def. a selling point for me because CoM is my favourite book in the Throne of Glass series so far). March 3rd cannot come sooner!

  1. I absolutely LOVED The Winner's Curse! I can't wait for this book, there was such a huge cliffhanger at the end of the first book! I just can't wait much longer! I love the ToG series so much, too!
